Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off to School We Go....

Big Smiles! The girls were so excited to start school! Thanks Kristin for the very adorable, yellow L shirt! Lilly insisted on wearing it the 1st day and I agreed it was a good choice!

Does she look the least bit nervous here or sad about leaving her mama? Nope - not at all!

Well another milestone has come and gone for us! Our little Lilly-Bug is officially a kindergartener as of Wednesday, August 6th, 2008! She has been itching to go to school for 2 years, since Maddy started and now the time has come! She had no fears and was so calm and cool about the whole thing! Of course, big sister Maddy has told her all the ins and outs and where to go and what to do - you know the inside scoop, so I think that helped Lilly feel more relaxed about going some place new! Her teacher is Mrs. Marshall and so far we are very impressed! I truly feel like Lilly is in good hands with her! I have to admit that I'm glad this first week back was just for 3 days! I really missed both girls so much! I loved the Summer that we had together and although I really tried to relish the time I had with them, it went by all too fast! I'm going to make this weekend last! Tonight we went to the grocery store and I let the kids pick out some of their favorite snacks/food items, then we came home for a swim. Then we made our feast and watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics! The show was awesome and the kids were really into it for about an hour. Then it was just way too long for them and they crashed on the floor in the family room! I am just so excited to watch me some gymnastics - my most favorite part of the Olympics! Go USA!
