Silly Lilly

This is so random, but a bit funny, so I thought I'd share! Well it is no secret that our last name is a bit odd to say the least. We all know when a telemarketer is calling, etc. because they never say our last name right. Our kids have listened to us at the Pharmacy or over the phone spelling our last name so people will "get" it right. Maddy, who is now in 2nd grade has never had a problem with her last name. She has always spelled it out for those who didn't "get" it! Well tonight I was helping my darling kindergartner, Lilly, will a little art project she was supposed to do at home and take back to school. She wrote her first name on the top and then when I asked if she was going to put her last name on it, she said ok, but can I spell it C.O.O.K.? What? "No Lilly, I proceeded to tell her, you cannot spell our last name like that. Then it wouldn't be "OUR" last name"! See what I mean, SILLY LILLY! I guess she has had enough of having to spell it out or whatever and she is only a few months into school! I guess their is hope for her - one day, one day that is very, very, very far off in her future she can marry and take her husband's last name! I'm guessing she won't be one of those girls that wants to keep their own last name and hyphenate it! I will secretly laugh inside though if she falls head over heels for someone with an even stranger or harder to pronounce last name! I sure love this girl though! She is so full of energy and spunk and can always find a way to make me laugh! Silly Lilly! ;)
