Thankgiving...

We just got back late this afternoon after a very fun, eventful weekend in Prescott/Prescott Valley! We had an awesome time and got to spend lots of time with family! We drove up on Thursday morning and hung out at Brian's sister, Stephanie's house. We hung out there most of the day and had lots of yummy appetizers and the kids got to play with their cousins! Later in the afternoon we drove over to Brian's Grandma Margaret's house to eat Thanksgiving dinner! We had lots of yummy food! I got my fill of mashed potatoes and gravy - my favorite! It is always fun with Bri's family because both his mom's mom, Margaret, and his dad's mom, Verna are really good friends, so most of the holidays our kids get to see not only their grandparents but also 2 of their great-grandma's, who they affectionately call Nana and Grams! I think that it is a wonderful blessing that our girls not only have these Great-Grandmas but that they actually get to see them and have them be involved in their lives! We spent 3 nights at Nana's house and had such a great time with her! She just adores all of her great-grandkids! She plays games with them, spoils them with chocolate milk and m&m's and of course doles out lots of compliments, hugs, and snuggles!

Some of the other highlights from the weekend:

~Waking up at 3:10 a.m. so I could drive my mother-in-law and myself to meet Steph at Kohls in Prescott Valley when they opened at 4:00 a.m.
~Shopping for 6 straight hours early on Black-Friday and finding some good deals!
~Eating some yummy Turkey Verde Enchiladas (thanks A & B for those!)
~Seeing the "Valley of Lights" in Prescott Valley!
~Seeing all the awesome Gingerbread Houses on display, decorating gingerbread cookies and seeing Santa Claus at the Prescott Resort!
~Going to Goldwater Lake, seeing some deer, running from the crazy starved ducks, and swinging with my girls, and watching them play soccer with their daddy!
~Going to the light parade in Downtown Prescott and watching the excitement of the holidays through the eyes of my girls!
~Cuddling with my little niece Clara!
~Watching the girls play with their cousins and grandparents!
~Getting to have so much time with my wonderful, sweet hubby!

I truly have so much to be thankful for! I am blessed with an awesome family! I am so grateful for them and for all of my friends too! I love this time of year and for all of the joy and excitement that it brings!
