Well we're officially now in the 2nd month of the new year and I still haven't posted any of our Holiday photos or highlights. I might get to that one of these days! Please don't hold your breath.
This past Thursday we were able to go to watch Maddy and all the other 2nd graders at Peralta Trails Elementary School do their annual Music Performance. Each month, the music teacher, Mr. Turner teaches all the classes in a grade level some songs that go along with a book. They read the book and learn various songs that go along with it. So, her performance this year was centered around the book, "Stephanie's Ponytail".
They all did a great job singing and performing. This is the 3rd show we've seen her do now and it is so fun to watch her up on stage. They do their performance two times, once on Thursday night for all the parents and grandparents and then again on Friday morning during the school's monthly Pride Day Ceremony. I wasn't able to go to the show on Friday morning because Ally wasn't feeling very good, but some friends of mine that were there, sent me a text telling me how entertaining Maddy was being by adding in her own little moves. I guess she was braver and more enthusiastic performing in front of the kids than she was when we were there. We missed out I guess! I'm looking forward to March now and am anxious to see Lilly perform with her fellow Kindergartners. They'll be performing "Chocolatina"
So, here she is our little star performer! She is such an awesome kid! She still loves school and strives so hard to do her best. She has found out that second grade is pretty tough but she still continues to get good grades, has model behavior and in my own biased opinion is the best daughter anyone good ask for.

Sorry the pics of the show aren't that great. The lights were low and we didn't have the best seats.
